You can but may want to blanche the fresh broccoli to make sure it is not undercooked in casserole.

We didnt think and threw the box away and was never able to find the same recipe again until now. Paula’s casserole tasted so close to that recipe! Definitely use mayo because you dont want the sweeter flavor of a salad dressing like Miracle Whip. I did use more cheese and a store brand buttery cracker for the topping. The little bit of tanginess works well with the broccoli and loved the crunchy texture of the topping. The leftovers are great the next day and I will be making it again soon! Made and reviewed for the What’s On The Menu recipe tag game.

I just made this, and it came out really well. Use your favorite rice, but I would cook it first. It doesn’t take very long to bake.
